Tristan Smith
Although born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Tristan Smith spent much of his childhood in Churchill, Manitoba, and points north. He then completed elementary and high school in Winnipeg. Following high school, he studied at the University of Manitoba, pursuing degrees in Political Studies and, having realized that jobs in that field were thin on the ground, law. After completing his articles in Winnipeg in 2007, he and his wife Chantelle moved to Manitou, Manitoba where he began practice with a small firm. Over time, he has found it impossible to avoid community involvement, becoming a director of a number of charitable organizations.
After joining AVS in September 2016, he has continued to practice civil, criminal and family litigation, with an emphasis on rural matters.
