This includes circumstances where a person has lost capacity and it is necessary to gain control of their estate through the court based committeeship process.

We provide advice to clients who wish to advise loved ones using a Health Care Directive or Living Will that can assist during the most difficult time that a family may face.Estate planning and Will preparation is a process that we go through with clients, whether it is a straightforward or more complicated scenario. Every person is different with different family structures, blended families, children with special requirements or assets that require a bit more planning. The final Will we prepare will provide for that person’s friends, family and community in the best way possible.

We also provide full coverage on Estates and the winding up of a person’s affairs upon the end of their life. We work through all asset inventory and creditor issues with the client. We will apply for the clients to the court of Queen’s Bench to achieve probate or administration as needed, and work through to full release of the estate to entitled beneficiaries.In the unfortunate circumstance of dispute on estates or Powers of Attorney, we advise and steward accountings through the courts to appropriate resolution.
